Bastide Cigalo

The villa

Bastide Cigalo compromises of five air-conditioned bedrooms and bathrooms with with a beautiful heated pool and a gym. The Bastide consists of a bright spacious living room with ample seating comfortable sofas and large windows onto the terrace. There is an under-floor cooling system, TV, and arch to the open plan spacious dining area and fully equipped modern kitchen with door to terrace.  In addition, on this floor there is small TV room including a back storeroom/pantry to the kitchen and a bedroom with queen size bed with its private bathroom. On the first floor there are four en-suite air-conditioned queen size bedrooms with private bathrooms. The Annex has and additional queen size bedroom with bathroom and next door a gym with several apparatus, treadmill and bicycles etc. Outside, the grounds cover an area of 3,200 m2 of enclosed garden with lawn and olives trees, a magnificent heated swimming pool with electric roller shutter and an alarm on request. The large terrace includes a pergola in front of the house with a large table that can accommodate 8/10 guests eating alfresco with another terrace next to the annex/pool with comfy seating and covered terrace buy the pool house with a gas barbecue. There are ample sun loungers and seating with parasols as well as a ping pong table and ample parking, however don't forget the villas is just under 10 minutes walking to the center of St Remy with all its amenities. St Remy-de-Provence, just over 800 meters from the villa, is a charming classical little town, capital of the Alpilles with all the amenities, boulangeries, little boutiques, quaint pavement cafes and excellent restaurants.  On its winding cobbled lanes you will discover the small squares, historic buildings, churches and museums and on Wednesday the colorful weekly market will offer the opportunity to discover local products and handicrafts which is a must see. The landscape in this region is particularly picturesque, encompassing rolling hills dotted with quaint hilltop villages and countless hiking trails, extensive sunflower fields and olive groves. This region is steep with history with plenty of sites to visit such as Les Baux de Provence is considered one of the most beautiful villages in France. Avignon, Arles, Nîmes and Uzès and the are other towns you can easily visit in a day, and at only 45 minutes to the east is the Luberon region and further south, Camargue’s unique wetland populated by pink flamingos and wild horses.
