The sand dunes covered with sand lilies that blossom in August, together with the adjacent pine and cider tree covered hill and the shallow blue and green waters of the reef create a truly unique environment. In this secluded beach the sea turtle caretta caretta lays its eggs every June and in mid August the little turtles get out of their nest and go into the sea, starting their big journey. The absence of lights in the surrounding area provides the most amazing sky at night.
