The villa

Lush potted plants lead to the Mallorcan entrance of Diaz, with cacti lining the natural-stone façade and greenery flourishing throughout the grounds. The owners lovingly tend a vegetable garden. Imposing palms shade the well-kept garden, where lawns and a pool invite relaxation. The L-shaped main house has a wraparound covered terrace with many comfortable spots to sit or recline, and space to gather for a barbecue. Guests in the annex also have their own private outdoor area. There is ample shaded parking; the nearby road can sometimes be heard, depending on the wind. Inside, substantial furniture, rich fabrics and decorative flourishes create a cheerful mix of colours and shapes. Spacious, airy living rooms suit groups and large families, while the long dining table brings everyone together for leisurely meals of tapas, soups or paella.
