The villa

This farmhouse is part of a large estate producing Chianti Classico wine and it is set in a secluded position which benefits of a 360° breathtaking view on the rolling Tuscan hills, vineyard and olive groves around the house. On a clear day, travelers can also see San Gimignano, renowned for its many towers, in the distance. Past guests particularly loved the sundown views by the swimming pool which they all describe as dreamy. This impressive stone-building dates back to the 16th century and it has a large internal courtyard ("corte" in Italian) where guests can relax during their holidays. Because of its original structure, the property benefits of great insulation making it comfortable also during the warm summer days. The owners have carefully restored their house in total respect to the traditional materials of the area while making sure to furnish it with the comforts needed during a summer holiday. La Corte di Campalli has very airy and spacious interiors; one of the highlights is the large living room with vaulted ceiling loved by past clients who spent their holiday here also in winter. This villa sleeps up to 12 guests. There are six large bedrooms with five bathrooms: one twin bedroom with its bathroom is on the ground floor which is ideal for those who would like to avoid stairs during their vacation. The first floor is divided into two separate wings, on one side there are three bedrooms (a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and two twin bedrooms sharing a bathroom) while on the opposite wing there is a master bedroom with sitting area and en-suite bathroom which can be accessed from an independent staircase making it ideal for a couple looking to retain its total privacy. Guided tours of the estate and the castle can be arranged. Past clients particularly appreciated the visit of the wine cellars guided by the very helpful owners, and the experience is even more enjoyable in September, a beautiful month for visiting this part of Tuscany when the guests can assist at the wine harvest. Although in a secluded and quiet position, La Corte di Campalli is in a convenient location to explore the surrounding area. It is only 7 km away from a highway exit thus ideal base for trips to the Chianti area and main Tuscan towns such as Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni.
