The villa

The soul of this building is revealed as soon as you arrive through its large outdoor staircase which makes you want to dive into the history of this house. The renovation was subtly carried out by an interior designer who knew how to combine modernity and authenticity. The original cement tiles on the floor, the high ceilings, the large interior staircase, the floor tiles upstairs, and the antique furniture will immerse you in the 1930s. The building offers approximately 280 square meters of living space on two levels and is fully air-conditioned for optimal comfort. A large entrance hall with high ceilings leads to a television room & to a double reception living room, office area, and library with access to the veranda terrace. There is also a  fully equipped kitchen with pantry and a guest cloakroom with WC. On the first floor there are three double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and an additional bedroom dedicated to well-being (yoga, massages) or small room to accommodate a baby or a very young child (cot on request). Either while having lunch under the plane tree, or at aperitif time in the garden furniture, or on the small table set up in front of the swimming pool while enjoying a moment of relaxation, alone or in pairs. St Remy-de-Provence just over 800 meters from the villa which is a charming classical little town, capital of the Alpilles with all the amenities, boulangeries, little boutiques, quaint pavement cafes and excellent restaurants.  On its winding cobbled lanes you will discover the small squares, historic buildings, churches and museums and on Wednesday the colorful weekly market will offer the opportunity to discover local products and handicrafts which is a must see. The landscape in this region is particularly picturesque, encompassing rolling hills dotted with quaint hilltop villages and countless hiking trails, extensive sunflower fields, and olive groves. This region is steep with history with plenty of sites to visit such as Les Baux de Provence, considered 'one of the most beautiful villages in France'. Avignon, Arles, Nîmes and Uzès and the are other towns you can easily visit in a day, and at only 45 minutes drive and to the east is the Luberon region and further south, Camargue’s unique wetland populated by pink flamingos and wild horses.
