The villa

Located just 10 minutes walk from the center of Saint-Etienne-du-Grès, let yourself be charmed by this typically Provençal Mas Brule, relaxing with a rustic, cozy and elegant look. This authentic Mas will seduce you with its many assets and its particular way of life. As soon as you enter this charming residence, you will appreciate the vast volumes offered by this beautifully renovated farmhouse with noble and quality materials. Provence in each room, here or there, with sublime exposed stones, or even with ceilings adorned with authentic wooden beams, all on a travertine floor, a stone found in many Provençal homes. The Mas offers 200 m² of living space on two levels, on the ground floor with there is the entrance lobby which then opens into the beautiful living room with its Provencal fireplace shared between a dining area and a living area with its cathedral ceiling. There is an independent fitted kitchen with dining area with an additional storeroom/laundry room and a guest's cloakroom with WC. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms one with twin beds and the other a King size bed, both theses room share a bathroom with shower & WC. On the upper level a further three bedrooms one king size, one queen size and the third twin beds all sharing two bathrooms one with shower & one with bath. On this floor there is a large TV room with sofas and a small office. Outside the enclosed garden of 1500 m² has been designed to be in total harmony with this authentic Provençal farmhouse. Let yourself be intoxicated by these typical smells of the region, which you will find in the four corners of the garden planted with care. Rosemary here, lavender there, a few roses, oleanders, an olive tree, all capped by two sublime century-old plane trees that protect the house from the summer heat. As often in Provence, the terraces line the front of the house to offer you various relaxation areas depending on the inclination of the sun. The swimming pool of 8m x 4m is secured by an alarm. There is also a solarium area and a large private car park. The local village you can find all you need (fresh fruit and vegetables, meat from the local farms, delicious breads, and even your usual newspaper) Saint-Etienne-du-Grès less than 10 to 15 minutes walk.  To the south is the lively village of St Rémy de Provence, just 15 kilometers away.  It is a charming classical little town, capital of the Alpilles with all the amenities, boulangeries, little boutiques, quaint pavement cafes and excellent restaurants, and on its winding cobbled lanes you will discover the small squares, historic buildings, churches and museums.  On Wednesday the colorful weekly market will offer the opportunity to discover local products and handicrafts which is a must to see. Further south Les Baux de Provence is considered 'one of the most beautiful villages in France, Arles, Nîmes, Pont du Gard and Uzès and other towns you can easily visit in a day, and at less than 45 minute drive and to the east is the Luberon region and further south, Camargue’s unique wetland populated by pink flamingos and wild horses. Avignon to the north with its UNESCO world heritage site, with it’s magnificent Palais du Papes, which is one of the architectural wonders of France is just 12 kilometers away and would make an ideal day trip. Just north of Avignon is the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region for wine lovers as well.
