Mas Micoulari

The villa

Located beyond the elegant gate that opens onto the property, are the olive trees and the silhouettes of the two cypresses that stand on either side of the stone porch, and Mas Micoulari.  The Mas consists of the ground floor with a living room with open fireplace and ample sofas, an independent fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, and an additional storeroom & laundry room. There is a guest cloakroom with basin and WC. The Mas has four bedrooms with three bathrooms accommodating eight guests.  One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and the three others on the first floor. Outside, is the garden with its 10 x 5 m swimming pool, a pretty little pine wood, and in the horizon distance views of the Alpilles hills. All this beautiful Provençal landscape comes alive under the light of fine weather.  F acing south, is a beautiful terrace shaded during the day by a pergola, perfect for summer lunches/dinners al fresco under the stars. Facing it, a summer lounge sheltered under a beautiful frame, ideal place to spend evenings outdoors with  its comfortable furniture and natural colors invite you to relax and "bubble" by the swimming pool, just opposite. Around the pool, deckchairs like invitations to a nap, welcome you for a light sleep conducive to abandonment, long languid naps by the pool, or exposure to the sun for an ideal tan between two dives in the pool. . For others it will be the shade of the large mulberry plane tree or other tree offering generous shade, the body curled up in the delicious softness of a deck chair, the soft air caressing the cheek, lulled by the song of the cicadas... St Remy-de-Provence, 4 kilometers away, is a charming classical little town, capital of the Alpille with amenities, boulangeries, little boutiques, quaint pavement cafes and excellent restaurants.  On its winding cobbled lanes you will discover the small squares, historic buildings, churches and museums and on Wednesday the colorful weekly market will offer the opportunity to discover local products and handicrafts which is a must see. The landscape in this region is particularly picturesque, encompassing rolling hills dotted with quaint hilltop villages and countless hiking trails, extensive sunflower fields, olive groves. This region is steep with history with plenty of sites to visit such as Les Baux de Provence, considered one of the most beautiful villages in France. Avignon, Arles, Nîmes and Uzès and the are other towns you can easily visit in a day, and at only 45 minutes to the east is the Luberon region and further south, Camargue’s unique wetland populated by pink flamingos and wild horses.
