The villa

The recent renovation of the spaces gives comfort and absolute charm to this Mas, from the stone & parquet floors, the vaulted white plaster ceilings, the carefully chosen large bay windows in wrought iron, which provide an incredible view of the exterior, and the stone fireplace in the living room - all of these are elements that offer you the opportunity to savor unforgettable moments of relaxation. The luminosity and space of the living rooms are essential ingredients for happy family vacations. The Mas Montplaisir consists of five air-conditioned bedrooms & bathrooms accommodating up to 10 guests. The outdoor area of this pretty property is a small haven of peace.  The grass that surrounds the house illuminates the space with beautiful colors. Provençal plantations add scents here and there that let the mind get lost in its deep memories.  The swimming pool of 12m x 6m set to the west side of the Mas promises you good moments of refreshment under the sound of the cicadas, the joy of summer! Several friendly spaces are available, to have an aperitif or enjoy a dinner under the pergola. St Remy-de-Provence, just over 2 kilometres from the villa, is a charming classical little town, capital of the Alpilles with all the amenities, boulangeries, little boutiques, quaint pavement cafes, and excellent restaurants. On its winding cobbled lanes you will discover the small squares, historic buildings, churches and museums, and on Wednesday the colorful weekly market will offer the opportunity to discover local products and handicrafts which is a must see. The landscape in this region is particularly picturesque, encompassing rolling hills dotted with quaint hilltop villages and countless hiking trails, extensive sunflower fields, and olive groves. This region is steep with history with plenty of sites to visit such as Les Baux de Provence, considered 'one of the most beautiful villages in France'. Avignon, Arles, Nîmes and Uzès are other towns you can easily visit in a day, and at only a 45 minute drive to the east is the Luberon region and further south, Camargue’s unique wetland populated by pink flamingos and wild horses.
