Villa Piantaverna is a farmhouse brought gently up to date: brick-vaulted ceilings, a stone fireplace, a snug with a wine nook, and four bedrooms that keep their old proportions. The heart of the house in summer is the pergola outside, where a long table sits beside a wood-fired pizza oven and the hills of the Niccone valley fade into the distance. A pool and lawn complete the garden.
