The villa
Enjoying a wonderful and unique location directly above the beach of Dos Bicos with private access to the beach from the garden, this is a very beautiful and superbly furnished and equipped villa. Restaurants, nightlife and shopping are all within easy walking distance. Being above the beach, the views of the sea and along the coast are superb but the location is quiet and privacy is excellent. A path and steps lead directly onto the beach from an attractive lawned garden with waterfall, pool and excellent barbecue terrace. Furnishings and layout let you make the most of relaxed indoor and outdoor living. Located on a hill and with direct access to a private beach, Villa Rikana is the perfect property to spend your holidays in! Enjoy the complete privacy of our villa, perfectly secluded from view, both for the house and the garden.

Charming villa in an incredible location. The direct beach access is phenomenal. The house is very well maintained. Villanovo is great : A unique and curated collection of properties, backed up with great customer service.
To be honest, there wasn’t much I didn’t like. Maybe modernizing the key situation? Either a card or an app on your phone.

Pool and location and amenities were beyond expectations. The grounds are beautiful. Beds are comfy and AC was working well. Villanovo team was very attentive
Hot tub would not heat - water too cold to use. Small ant problem - main house upstairs bathrooms (lessened after we told the housekeeper). Lightbulbs not working (for some outdoor and indoor lighting). Suggestion for chefs: The chefs prepare amazing food, but perhaps making less/ buying less makes more sense (store bought cakes and lots of breads).

The close access to the beach, location, en suite rooms, great pool, Elena was wonderful, overall a great trip. Overall I was happy with working with Villanovo. I thought the response time could have been quicker but towards the end when working with Amaya the response time was very quick. The deposit amounts/balance amounts document was very confusing (as per the many emails I sent and I spent way too much time trying to figure out the way it was presented since the numbers weren't matching up. Other than that I thought the process was pretty good. Everyone was willing to offer help when they were available to do so and I would recommend Villanovo to friends and colleagues.
Kitchen could have been better stocked (ie. tupperware, saran wrap, foil, basic condiments and seasonings like salt and pepper, spices, olive oil, etc. It doesn't cost much but was annoying and a hassle to have to go out and buy things like that. The key situation was outdated but realize the owners can't now implement an electronic key system. I had asked Villanovo about fishing on the beach and was told that there was no fishing on the beach as per the owner's reply. As soon as we got there we saw people fishing and that was quite upsetting as my husband really wanted to fish and was very disappointed since he would have brought a pole. Our stay at the villa was simply amazing!!! That is a beautiful property and we felt at home there. I will recommend staying there to anyone who asks!! Good service from Villanovo.
