Villa Subtilia has the scale of a small palazzo: frescoed walls, a grand salon with a carved stone fireplace, a refectory table that seats the whole party, and eight bedrooms sleeping sixteen. The terrace is the other half of the story — an infinity pool with an adjoining jacuzzi, parasols and loungers, and the Umbrian countryside rolling away to the horizon.
