The villa
Set in an olive grove 2.5 km from Maussane, this peaceful farmhouse offers a rural Provençal escape. Downstairs, an open kitchen leads to a covered dining terrace with barbecue, while the living and dining rooms provide comfortable seating and entertainment. Two air-conditioning units on the upstairs landing cool the bedrooms on that level. An enclosed garden surrounds a fenced private pool measuring 13 x 6 m, with a shallow paddling area leading into deeper water. Covered terraces offer garden furniture, a barbecue, plancha, table tennis and table football. The owner supplies free olive wood for the barbecue and can guide guests through the olive grove. Riding excursions in the Alpilles with Sébastien can be arranged, with conditions discussed locally. Access is via a sandy road. Maussane, at the foot of the Alpilles, has shops, restaurants and a Thursday morning market. Sample tapenade, olive oil, goat's cheese and local wines around its lively village square.
