The villa
Villa Marsiliana is a comfortable two-storey retreat surrounded by fields and vineyards on a secluded, peaceful hill, 10 km from Massa Marittima and 18 km from Follonica and the sea. Its private garden features a 12 x 6 m pool, open May–September and maintained by the owner or gardener, plus a pergola, furnished terraces and barbecue. The pool enjoys complete privacy and views across the Maremma countryside to the Gulf of Follonica. Terraces and intimate corners invite relaxed aperitifs. A large outdoor dining table overlooks the former summer residence of the bishop on the opposite hill, with picturesque sunsets, while a shaded table beneath the covered terrace is ideal for breakfast or lunch. Bicycle storage and parking for five cars are provided. Access is via a rough, unpaved 1 km track. Shops and restaurants are 6 km away; Lake Accesa is 11 km away and Sassetta thermal baths 34 km. Walking and mountain-biking routes begin nearby, with Scarlino, Suvereto and Castiglione della Pescaia within reach.
