Designed by its architect owner, the south-facing, L-shaped villa suits guests seeking independence while exploring on foot. Although in a residential area, its lush garden and large pool are screened from view. The grounds unfold over two levels: one has the pool, sun terrace and broad lawn; the other shelters a fishpond beneath bamboo and surrounding trees. Numerous seating areas include comfortable covered corners, palm-shaded spots and a dining space on the covered veranda, giving everyone somewhere to unwind. Indoors, generous, light-filled rooms create a relaxed atmosphere. Modern furnishings and artistic pieces in materials such as concrete combine with antiques for an unconventional, characterful look. Living spaces extend over three levels, offering room to spread out. On the ground floor of the long building, a cosy room features a fireplace and contrasting white and gold sofas.
